Is this a new type of threesome..?

New? Nope. We call that polyamory.

As a woman living in a successful, loving, polyamorous household, doing exactly what Carol is describing here and kicking ass at it, Carol’s storyline in the comic has always made me intensely sad - it’s part of the reason why I immediately glommed on to her character on the show, even though they’re obviously completely different people - what she’s asking of Lori is not some horrible, monstrous thing, but that’s how Lori reacts to it, and Carol never completely recovers.  It’s fucking tragic that in a world where people are being eaten by the dead, what Carol proposes is still seen as “crazy.”

I couldn’t agree more. Comic Carol had a sad story, but overall she lacked the depth of TV Carol.
